Fulfillment Point System Open API Overview

Fulfillment Point Open API is mainly focus the integration between OMS4 and Customer's WMS/ERP system to automate and digitalize order fulfillment process.

Typically, there are three scenarios:

• Use Marketplace integrated delivery carrier and one order one parcel (Most of the orders currently fall under this scenario)

  Typically, in order to speed up order fulfillment process, once OMS4 send Fulfillment Task to Fulfillment Point (downstream) System, will immediately to obtain shipping label from marketplace system. and then forward shipping label together with others information to Fulfillment Point system.

• Use Marketplace integrated delivery carrier and ship with multiple parcels (Rarely for those oversize / overweight product)

  In this case, OMS4 system will wait for packing complete and know this order has been packed with how many parcels, what inside each of parcel, then only OMS4 system will obtain shipping label from marketplace system and forward shipping label to Fulfillment Point System(Warehouse) to print and paste on the parcel.

• Non-Integrated delivery carrier (Seller Own Fleet or Delivery By Seller)

  In this scenario, Marketplace won't arrange and allocate delivery carrier, thus seller need to find transporter and print shipping label by themselves. And different with others scenario, Fulfillment Point System can update last-mile delivery milestone to OMS4. Then OMS4 will update back to Marketplace when necessary. (Usually marketplace system only take care final milestone such as Delivered or Failed Delivery)
